Oluwalonibisi- A Praise/Worship Leader with Grace & Verve

Music is a world within itself, it is a language we all understand, no wonder Ludwig von Beethoven once said that "music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy." In our present generation whenever words fail, music speaks for us. In view of the aforementioned, Oluwalonibisi, the one divinely armed with melodious nous. He has carved a niche for himself in music and he is inspired to speak when words fails. Born Olubisi John Oguntade and notably known as Oluwalonibisi from Ayetoro, Yewa North  local government in Ogun State. Olubisi, is the last child of his family and a graduate of Town and Regional Planning from the prestigious Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta. Most music lovers refer to him as Praise Machine, BackYardstudio caught up with him recently. Excerpt:
BYS: Why have you chosen music?
Oluwalonibisi: It's my belief that music is my calling. My passion. My way of getting the good news across to the people. So, that's why I chose music. I will rather live my passion than leave it to chances.

BYS: How many singles do you have to your credit?
Oluwalonibisi: I have a single titled 'Baba Alaanu mi'. It's a song of worship to the merciful God.

BYS: Any collaborations yet?
Oluwalonibisi: I have a few. We worked on a peace song for Testify with Vivian Stephen, Okiki Jesu, Gbenga Oke, Abere Ijo, Ayan Jesu etc. I also worked with PsalmE. Also, I featured in a song with Seyi Voice. Then with St. Michael, Shogzyma, Samkeyz Olawale, etc.

BYS: Any album yet?
Oluwalonibisi: By His grace we have an album titled 'COME TO ME'. The second one is in the pipeline though. We trust God for help and grace for excellent finish. So, Watch out!

BYS: Do you play any musical instrument?
Oluwalonibisi: Ahhh. I tried learning the piano at a time, but now, I am working on my box guitar and doing few things. Still learning though.

BYS: What genre do you play?
Oluwalonibisi: That may be defined with time because leading praise/worship for sometime has made me conversant with a few genre of music. So I do a few music style and tempo including Fuji, Juju, R&B etc. I am even working on Reggae in my next album. So the gist is, I am particular about the lyrics and the Spirit behind the songs, not about the genre. As God gives the songs, we work on them and let it flow. Again I'll say the genre may be specific as time goes on.

BYS: What is the source of your inspiration?
Oluwalonibisi: That is spelt out in Track 8 of my debut album called 'My Source'. God is my source. Holy Spirit is my inspiration. The word of God is my illumination. I am nothing without Jesus!

BYS: If not music, what would you love to do?

Oluwalonibisi: Let me see, Well, I love writing, drawing and speaking to people.  So, I would have gone for something that express any of the passion from above.

BYS: Are you signed on any record label?
Oluwalonibisi: I am signed on my own label, Oak Music. We are launching out a step at a time.

BYS: Okay, we have a teaser for you, If you stand at a balcony and throw down a single key and a stone, which one gets to the floor first?
Oluwalonibisi: It's a logical question. Since I am throwing down a key "AND" a stone. They get to the floor together because they are together in the first instance. They are not separated.
