FINANCIAL HAPPINESS

Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being characterized by positive or pleasant emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.  Happiness is a state of mind, same as sadness; we do activate our mood to either of the two according to our gains or losses.  Deepak Chopra once said that “Happiness is a continuation of happenings which are not resisted.”

Obviously, we all think money can make us happy. Yes it will but not forever. For me a token of ten million US dollars in my name will not just bring me smiles, it will gladden my heart. But I have learnt that money cannot solve our problems, ideas will. You need to read that again to understand my logical reasoning. Productive ideas will bring you money and solve your problems. Creative ideas rule the world. So, always request from God, wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

Do you believe that some people have a lot of money but they lack productive ideas to multiply the money?  The money just sits there in their bank account or somewhere in the inner chamber where there are no preying eyes.
We usually base our happiness on our financial standard.  Few years ago, I was opportune to be at a gathering where Mr. Ayo Arowolo, a financial coach, enlightened us on how to manage our money.  He said no matter how small or big your income, you have to divide it into ten places, and make good use of them as follows:

*10 per cent is your Tithe: You should not let anything take that away from you. Pay it accordingly.
*Another 10 per cent: Save it in your bank account.

*Another 10 per cent: Use it to upgrade yourself. Buy books or attend seminars. Use it to acquire more knowledge. Like Fish or Snail farming etc
*Another 10 per cent: Use it for charity. Give to your parent, relatives, pastors, motherless homes etc. Just give to people that needs it.

*The remaining 60 per cent:  For yourself. Buy those clothes, shoes, bicycle, tv, gas cooker, car that you need. Look good and take good care of yourself. Pamper yourself by swimming, wine and dine and visit historical places.
If you make use of these ideas monthly, you will find out that soonest you will be self-reliant through those productive seminars and the cash at bank. Give it a try for six months and see that life is a better place to live through bright ideas. Remember that what you do not start today will not be finished by tomorrow.

Last weekend, I saw a movie produced by Mainframe Production titled ‘Maami’ starring Funke Akindele, Wole Ojo, Ayomide Abatti and several other vibrant artistes. In the movie, I learnt a lesson that life is like a relay race; where you need to pass on, like a baton, whatever you are opportune to acquire, to continue the legacy. So like Usain Bolt, be it money, knowledge or wealth, learn to pass it on. Now, you need to tell someone about this page so we all can live financially happy ever after. You will rise again. Cheers!
